Question 1.

Do periods create any risk to hymenal wholeness?

Imperforate hymen

If not dealt properly before menarche and/or soon after, an imperforate hymen can burst leaving irregular wounds of unpredictable shape and size. Otherwise only a simple surgical procedure can save lives of these adolescents who were born with imperforate hymen (1 in 1,000 births) or their hymen became atresic, i. e. without an opening, as a result of a disease (much less frequent).

Microperforate hymen

Exceptionally, a microperforate hymen can contribute to transcient accumulation of menstrual blood in the vagina due to its disturbed  outflow and cause sings and symptoms of haematocolpos before too small vaginal opening(s) in the microperforate hymen become less occlusive.

All other types of the hymen

In all other types of the hymen the vaginal opening(s) create no problems during period.

Question 2.
Can any vaginal discharge other than menstrual blood spoil the hymen?

No healthy vaginal discharge (menstrual blood, cervical fluid, vaginal transudate) can spoil the hymen. Some pathological discharges of infectious (bacterial, viral) or invasive (parasitic) origin can affect the hymen directly or indirectly as a result of scratching the itchy or sore vaginal vestibule.

Question 3.
In what phase of the menstrual cycle the hymen is critically endangered?

In the end of  folicullar phase soon before ovulation, sexual urges become stronger and stronger to reach the highest point on the day of ovulation. This natural mechanism designed for successful procreation works very well within the wedlock.

But in a maturing girl and not-yet-married woman, the ovulation induced sexuality control deficit disorder (OISCDD) although very short lasting since limited to a couple of days can adversely affect her behaviour and lead to irreversible losses of  her valuable assets.

Awareness of the risks of the OISCDD is very limited among parents, carers, educators and spiritual leaders. Even if they are aware of OISCDD, simple prudery restricts them from communicating important facts of life to the most vulnerable segment of society. Thus pubertal and adolescent young people are deprived of an effective tool for defending their integrity which knowledge of own physiology is. The doors are open to paedophiles, ephebophiles and other sex obsessed maniacs who find pleasure in illegal /illicit devirginizing.

Prudery feeds raunchiness. This is why prudery kills. Prudence saves lives. Prudence not raunchiness must set limits for prudery.

Prudence saves lives. Prudence not raunchiness must set limits for prudery.

Question 4.
How to minimize the risk of spoiling the hymen through masturbation
when sexual urges become very strong?

Before the critical days come every month,  each virgin who cares about her hymen and realizes that is not able to control her sexuality particularly soon before ovulation and on the day of ovulation, should be well aware that nothing else but clitoral stimulation is enough to achieve a satisfactory level of brain chemicals as a result of climaxing. Whatever sexual fantasies or experiments become compulsive, they must not lead to rubbing the vaginal vestibule or inserting anything up the vagina or the urethra. Up the anus neither to avoid nasty diseases.

Question 5.
How to minimize the risk of premarital defloration
when the body calls for pregnancy?

Luckily, the body is not in charge of human person's behaviour but his or her mind ruled by values which finally form one's soul and flesh. If not so, human beings would mate like animals in heat.

A prudent virgin, i. e. the one who avoids direct sexual contacts, who would never imagine herself as a fornicator, under influence of  the luteinizing hormone (LH), can momentarily lose her values and her virginity soon after.  Some sexual predators who find sadistic pleasure in deflorating future wives of other men, know very well how to take advantage of the decreased control of sexuality in their ovulating virginal victims. Even a virgin boyfriend who respects deeply his crush and shares her values about staying virgin until marriage can be provoked to deflorate his highly estimated virgin girlfriend by her ovulatory signals sent subconsciously and unwillingly.
